BC Horsemans Journal started as a magazine about 10 yrs ago. We created our web site in 2006 to meet the new demand for a much faster and more effective media form and we have enjoyed providing regular daily news and views of all things racing with both our Standardbred & Thoroughbred customers.
We've had many opportunities to upgrade our site to be more in line with the more commercial style of web sites.
But we've maintained our site in it's raw form to accomodate our regular visitors which are horsemen and woman that find our site easy to follow and to navigate.
Our advertisers have enjoyed the exposure from the 900 daily visitors!!.
My original interest in the Western Canadian racing scene was as an owner/groom at Fraser Downs racetrack & Casino (pre-casino) and we felt that BC really didn't have a a publishing medium so we started the Magazine.
It has been an interesting journey which we are committed to continue with and we look forward to a prosperous future for all concerned in the Western Canadian market.
I have enjoyed the friendships within the industry and I believe the management are working hard to build a solid business for generations to come.
